Ski Travel: Mount Snow

Located in Vermont, Mount Snow is situated at about 3,600 feet above sea level with a 1,700 foot vertical drop, and the resort has some 135 ski trails. There are 20 chair lifts and 6 surface lifts here for skiers to use, and people of all ages are welcome to stay in the resort. Everybody who chooses to ski travel to Mount Snow can avail of the many facilities available for everyone to make their stay enjoyable and memorable. For kids, for example, there is a terrain park which is just for the younger ones, as well as a kids' tubing park.

Other activities which are on offer here include sleigh rides, tubing, cross country skiing, snowmobiling and snowshoeing. There is an in-house shop where you can hire all the necessary equipment for your chosen activity.

There is child care readily available at the resort, and there are good package deals on offer to encourage families to use this facility, and to ensure that the whole family has a good time for a reasonable cost, and this is especially likely to be an attraction for you if you have a large family and at the same time a tight budget. Children under the age of 6 can ski or ride free, and mid week tickets for adults come together with a bonus free child's ticket. In January there is a free kids' ski and learn program which is a popular attraction for tourists.

Adults and children alike can have ski lessons, and when it comes to accommodation the Grand Summit Hotel is well situated just off the slopes, and it has a heated swimming pool. There is a unique system of trails at Mount Snow which lead you 'back to base', and this means that you can be sure of not getting cut off from your group and becoming lost.

There is no doubt that skiing is strenuous exercise, so Mount Snow also has health spas so that you can relax afterwards, and these offer you the full range of health options, including a variety of skin treatments and massages, as well as wedding party and couples packages. For those who want to keep up their normal exercise routine in addition to skiing there are fitness classes covering all kinds of exercise options and equipment, which guests can use at their own convenience. When it comes to dining and socializing in the evening, there is also a range of bars and restaurants for guests to choose from.

Ski travel to Mount Snow is a wonderful option for families- the resort has everything and won't cost a packet. So leave your troubles behind you but not the children, and let this place work its magic on you and you can be assured of a vacation to remember.
